  • Montgomery County Parks and Recreation
    • ​You can request a companion at no charge for your child but they are not guaranteed.  Please call the Therapeutic Recreation office at 240-777-6870 for more information and/or to request a companion. Parents in our program have tried this and have said the experience was wonderful.

  • Montgomery Housing Partnership(MHP)

    • MHP offers a range of housing services/options and programs in our area that may be at a low cost.  Programs include: Homework club, Summer Enrichment Program, Pre-School Group, Pre-School Summer Program, and Teen Program.  Please call one of the following sites for more information.

  • Lillipop Kids Foundation
    • This organization has many different resources for families including: Equipement donations, excersize classes, and support groups.

  • Summer Buddies
    • This organization offers social groups to interact with other children and learn social skills.
​
  • I Can Bike Camp!  This FREE program is located in Takoma Park and provides  lessons for individuals with disabilities to learn to ride a conventional two wheel bike.​
​
  • Parent Encourgement Program(PEP):  Offers classes and resources for parents and care-takers on various topics, such as: Parenting Preschoolers, toilet training, Sibling Conflict, etc.

  • The Lourie Center:  This is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training(from Lourie Center Website).
